Effective Date: 20 July 2025
Location of Provider: Victoria, Australia

Burnout Checker™ is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined here.

1. Summary

  • We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or health data.

  • All data remains on your device only.

  • We do not use analytics, advertising, or cloud storage.

  • You are always in control of your information.

2. What We Do and Don’t Collect

  • We do not:

    • Ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identifiers.

    • Track your location.

    • Collect data about how you use the App.

    • Upload or share your responses or scores to any server.

    • Share data with third parties, advertisers, or analytics providers.

  • We do:

    • Allow you to enter responses to burnout-related questions and receive insights — all saved locally on your device.

    • Let you set optional local daily or weekly reminders, which are stored in your device's notification system.

    • Respect your privacy and control — you can delete the app and its data at any time.

3. Optional Notifications

If you enable reminders:

  • They are managed by your device’s local system (e.g. iOS or Android).

  • We do not have access to or visibility of your notification settings.

  • You can disable reminders in the App settings or your device settings at any time.

4. Data Storage

  • All data is stored locally on your device.

  • No data is ever transmitted to external servers or cloud services.

  • If you uninstall the app, your data will be deleted unless you manually export or back it up.

5. Security

While we do not collect or store your data ourselves, we recommend:

  • Using device-level security (e.g. PIN, fingerprint, or password) to protect your device and data.

  • Being mindful of others viewing your device if you open the App in public.

6. Children and Young People

Burnout Checker is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, you should only use this App with the guidance of a parent, guardian, or trusted adult.

We do not knowingly collect or store information from children.

7. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store personal information, we do not maintain user profiles, databases, or access logs.

If you have questions about your privacy rights under Australian law, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at: www.oaic.gov.au

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most recent version will always be available in the App. If material changes are made, we’ll highlight them clearly.

Continued use of the App after any update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
